New videos on Chapter 3 (watch before Wednesday 9/5, expect mini-quiz)

These videos deal with harmonic function and the subdominant triad.

Part 1
The first part is theoretical, where I explain the concepts.

Part 2
The second part gives examples in musical notation.

NOTE: At the end of the second video, I direct you to apply your understanding of the tonal areas of phrases to the pieces on the "Structural Harmonies" worksheet. That's from last semester ("Home on the Range" and "Joy to the World"). If you still have that handout, go ahead and give it a try, but don't fret if you don't have it.
