Use Adam Ballato's CF (the first one on my post "Student CFs"). Write a counterpoint underneath it. Write ONE note below each of Adam's notes. Experiment to see what works well and what does not. We will sing and evaluate some of these in class.
When we write a counterpoint exercise where there is one note of counterpoint for each note of the CF (or the counterpoint is 1:1), it is called "First species counterpoint."
